County supervising Empire State Development grant application for Jim Clark housing project in Big Flats

County staff said each county may apply for up to $1 million from the program when the proposed housing project includes more than 10 units. Board members were told the Jim Clark project is expected to exceed 50 units and is planned as for-sale market housing rather than rental units. The IDA was described as supervising and supporting the application rather than serving as the applicant.
The meeting also included a brief notice regarding the Arnett Medical Center bond purchase agreement and a notice of tender for bonds; no action was required on that item, and staff said the entity involved primarily served as a conduit for the financial transaction.
The CCCRC approved the same committee nominations the IDA confirmed earlier in the meeting, and accepted verbal finance updates that staff said show the corporation has made a small operational profit for February though formal financial statements were not provided during the meeting.
Board members asked clarifying questions about the application flow and the IDA's role in supervising the submission; staff said the county executive and county legislature had already approved pursuing the application. No formal vote was required or recorded on the infrastructure application during the CCCRC meeting; staff said the IDA and county would continue coordinating the submission process.
The CCCRC adjourned after routine motions to accept minutes and nominations.
