Hoover resident asks board to restore meeting notices and provide agendas 48 hours in advance

Adam Fultz, a Hoover resident who said he lives on Elmore Drive, told the board he had not received the district'meeting notices he used to get by email and asked staff to reinstate the notifications.
"I didn't know about the meeting until 03:34 this afternoon," Fultz said. He told the board he has been on the district notice list for nearly 18 years and that the last email he recalled from the district address hcsnotices@hoover.k12.al.us was July 18. He said the most recent Hoover Board of Education notice he received came from the City of Hoover rather than the school system.
Fultz asked the board to explore how to restore people to the district'managed list and requested that future notices be sent at least 48 hours before meetings and include the agenda. He also said the February agenda posted did not include the date and time for the current meeting.
Board members acknowledged the comment during the public comment portion of the meeting; no formal board action on notification processes was recorded in the transcript.
