The Town Board voted to authorize solicitation of bids for accessibility and parking improvements at Saint Margaret's, adopting Resolution No. 22 at the March 11 meeting.
The resolution directs the town to advertise and accept bids for the project, which the supervisor described as including new ramps, bluestone work, accessibility upgrades and a parking area comprising about 15 spaces near the building and garage. A portion of the project is expected to be paid from a 2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The board corrected a publishing time typo in the resolution and set the bid opening for April 17 at 10:00 a.m.
Kristin moved the resolution and Jacob seconded; the board approved it by voice vote. The supervisor said work and installations such as counters, lighting and final touches would follow and estimated a realistic completion window around June, subject to bids and construction scheduling.
