Athletic director recognizes 36 TVL all-stars and state placers at school committee meeting

Kevin Anderson, Ashland Public Schools athletic director, presented the committee with a recognition of student athletes who earned Tri-Valley League all-star honors and state placings during the fall and winter seasons.
Anderson named athletes across multiple sports, noting achievements such as Logan Costello's state wrestling championship at 106 pounds and sixth-place finish in New England, Molly Connors' second-place finish in the state 100-yard breaststroke, and Anton Pukach's state wrestling runner-up finish at 175 after winning the title the prior year. Anderson said some athletes were not present but were acknowledged for their accomplishments.
The athletic director also noted individual stories, including Mandy Reed's comeback from surgery to earn TVL all-star honors and Will Child's commitment to run at Westfield State. Anderson reported the district had 36 TVL all-star selections this year across fall and winter sports and thanked athletes, families and coaches for their work.
Board members congratulated the students and thanked Athletic Director Anderson for bringing the group to the meeting. Several students and families present were invited to leave early after the recognition so the committee could continue with the agenda.
