Oshkosh district ramps up dual-credit and apprenticeship pathways as applications surge

The Oshkosh Area School District on March 12 reported expanded college-credit and career-readiness options for high school students, including a spike in youth-apprenticeship interest and steps to strengthen advisory-board partnerships with local employers.
District presenters said they corrected data that previously overstated dual-credit participation and set targets to raise the share of graduating seniors who complete at least one advanced-placement course, dual-credit course, youth apprenticeship, work-based learning placement or industry-recognized credential. Jackie (staff member) said the district's current baseline is 58 percent and the one-year target is 62 percent, with a three-year goal of 70 percent and an aspirational long-term goal of 80 percent.
