Wylie Animal Shelter Advisory Board approves minutes, files 2024 reports and inspections

At the March 12, 2025 meeting of the Wylie Animal Shelter Advisory Board, members voted unanimously to approve the Oct. 9, 2024 meeting minutes and to place on file several 2024 reports and inspections, including two inspections of the rabies quarantine facility.

The board first approved the minutes of the October 9, 2024 meeting by voice/hand vote after the electronic voting system failed; the transcript records the motion passed 5 to 0. The board then voted to place on file the 2024 fourth-quarter statistical information for shelter operations (motion passed 5 to 0), the 2024 annual statistical information for shelter operations (motion passed 5 to 0), the Texas Department of State Health Services inspection of the rabies quarantine facility completed Nov. 13, 2024 (motion passed 5 to 0), and a veterinarian inspection of the rabies quarantine facility completed Dec. 12, 2024 (motion passed 5 to 0).
