Patton said Phase 1 was completed on March 3 and that the project has progressed into a broader second phase that extends work into the shelter bay, quarantine and intake areas. "Phase 1 was completed on March 3," Patton said. "We have started our, our phase 2." She told the board the work focused on immediate disease-control needs, staff workflow and public access pathways rather than a full rebuild.
The nut of Patton's update was that the renovation seeks to reduce cross-contamination between animals and give staff usable isolation and intake spaces. She described…
