Board members who spoke in support of the reappointment cited Canale's leadership during project development and the need for continuity as ATP moves into the construction phase. One board member said the agency will face “messy” conditions during construction and that steady leadership will help navigate the work.
Greg Canale thanked the board and ATP staff, saying he feels supported by the board and that the organization has built a strong team. “We're looking forward to the weeks, months, and years ahead to get this thing done,” Canale said.
Action: The board reappointed Greg Canale by unanimous voice vote; the motion was moved by Mayor Watson and seconded by Board Member Garza.
