Kansas Senate adopts resolution honoring Kansas Task Force 1 for hurricane response

Senator Titus introduced the resolution and asked members of the task force in the East Gallery to stand for recognition. The resolution states that 36 responders from 22 agencies — including multiple municipal fire departments, regional medical centers, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal — were part of the deployment.
Senator Titus moved to suspend the rules and adopt the resolution by voice vote. The clerk recorded the motion and senators responded “aye”; the motion carried and the resolution was adopted. Members of Kansas Task Force 1 were recognized on the Senate floor for their service.
