Nevada Senate introduces a package of bills and refers each to committee

The Nevada State Senate on March 12, 2025 introduced a set of bills and referred each to the appropriate standing committee with no recorded objections, moving the measures into committee review.

Several sponsorship changes were recorded earlier in the session: senators agreed to add and change sponsors on a series of bills (recorded on the floor as additions to bills listed by number). Each referral motion was moved by the bill’s sponsor and the presiding officer announced the referral; the clerk recorded that there were no objections when each motion was referred to committee.

What happens next: Each bill now moves to the committee listed above, where committee chairs can schedule hearings, solicit testimony and determine whether to advance a measure to the floor. No committee hearings, amendments or votes on the measures were recorded during this floor session.
