The request also included a trailer (for crowd-barrier transport), funding for the governor's housing stipend from the Permanent Building Fund, and minor capital/operating reallocations for public-works accounts.
Supporters said the department manages a substantial portfolio of state property and vehicles and that increased staffing will help ensure accurate insurance billing and better oversight of state assets. The committee approved the package by roll call and it carries a due-pass recommendation.
