County, Open Space Commission review Alvarado master plan; consultants favor botanic experience

Clear Creek County commissioners met jointly with the Open Space Commission to review the Alvarado master plan and the land-management process the county uses to move from land-use recommendations to management plans and, for high-touch properties, a master plan. Amy (Open Space staff) presented the planning process and said consultants recommended the “botanic experience” concept for Alvarado over a more developed “central hub” option.

The program director said the master plan is intended as a vision document to guide future, phased improvements and community engagement; the board was asked only to receive the plan for review, not to approve funding or construction.
