Council nominates candidates for Airport Authority, Economic Development Authority and South Norfolk Revitalization Commission

For the Economic Development Authority Councilmember Whitaker nominated Troy Lindsay, Councilmember Ward nominated Sentara Brown and Councilmember Smith nominated Todd Mayfield. For the South Norfolk Revitalization Commission (two vacancies) nominations were Jennifer Naparelli, Andre Council, T. C. Gray, Lateef Shaheer and Lisa Dixon.
The vice mayor said interviews will be scheduled by the city clerk and noted that each interview is allotted 10 minutes; the work session is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. and the clerk will send interview times to the nominees and council members.
No formal votes to appoint were recorded at the meeting; the nominees will be interviewed in closed session at a later date and appointments will follow the interview process and any required public procedures.
