Commissioners approve $2,500 agreement with Costco to compile prescription drug report for county health plan

The Skagit County Board of County Commissioners approved a personal services agreement on March 11 with Costco Health Solutions to complete and file the Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC) report for calendar year 2024 for the county’s employee health insurance program.
Commissioner Wiesen summarized the agreement, saying the work is part of risk management responsibilities for the county’s employee health program. Under the agreement, compensation will not exceed $2,500 and the contract term runs from March 10, 2025, through June 30, 2025.
The board considered the agreement outside the consent agenda because it had not been signed by legal staff before the meeting and moved to approve it. The motion carried 3–0, recorded in the public minutes.
County staff characterized the agreement as routine compliance and reporting support to permit the county to meet state or federal prescription-drug data collection requirements for its self-insured or insured employee health program. Commissioners said the item should be circulated for signature and entered into the county’s records.
