SBA reopens disaster loan filing window; Greer to share application details with residents

She said the physical-damage program has an application date shown as April 27, 2025, but also stated the SBA had "extended a little further to June 30, 2025" for physical-damage applications; she described loan terms that include no payment and no interest for the first year and repayment terms up to 30 years. Green also gave a public contact number and said she had left business cards with city staff.
Council members and staff asked how residents and businesses could get more information. Green said applicants can apply at sba.gov/disaster and provided a contact phone number; she also said she had provided material to the city’s clerk. The council’s communications director, Michelle (identified in the meeting only by her first name and role), and other staff agreed to post the SBA information on city platforms.
No formal vote was taken. City staff indicated they would publish the SBA deadline and application instructions via the city’s regular communications channels and that the clerk had received printed materials.
