Voorhees Township school board enters executive session on personnel, then adjourns

The Voorhees Township School District board voted to go into an executive session to discuss personnel matters and later returned to open session and adjourned, board members said.

The board’s presiding officer opened the meeting by saying, “Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, public notice of this meeting has been given,” and noted the notice had been posted at the Voorhees Township Public Schools Administrative Building, sent to the Courier-Post, filed with the Voorhees Township clerk and posted on the district website on 05/14/2025. After the pledge of allegiance, the board took a roll call and proceeded to public comment; no members of the public signed up to speak.

During board comments, the presiding officer asked members to indicate whether they had remarks. After that, the board voted to move into executive session “involving personnel issues, including but not limited to employment, appointment, termination of employment, terms or conditions of employment, evaluation of performance, promotion, or discipline of any public officers or employee,” the presiding officer said. Board member Rudder made the motion to go into executive session and Board member Rosner seconded; members voted in favor.

The board later returned to open session and had no additional business to conduct before adjourning. A motion to return to general session was made and seconded, and members voted in favor. The meeting was formally adjourned. The presiding officer noted the next meeting is scheduled for June 9.

The meeting record shows no public comments and no formal board actions or votes on policy or personnel outcomes were announced in open session.
