District reports graduation outcomes, summer school enrollment and August registration week

The district reported that more than 35% of graduates received the Golden State Seal recognizing superior subject-area performance; approximately 66% of graduates met A-G requirements for UC/CSU eligibility; and about 50% of the Class of 2025 graduated with a 3.0 GPA or higher (figures presented by staff). The report said many graduates planned to continue to higher education, the military or employment.
Summer school began with about 380 students, an increase of roughly 40 students compared with the previous year, and staff attributed enrollment growth to proactive counseling outreach and early enrollment efforts. Staff detailed summer session timelines: an initial session concluding June 26 and a subsequent session running June 30 through July 17; the district also scheduled registration week for July 28 through August 1.
The board was asked to note these items as informational; no action was taken at the presentation.
