The district presented personnel recommendations at the June work session that the administration plans to move for board approval at the next meeting.
Agenda items included granting tenure to temporary professional employees who have completed three years of satisfactory service, a list of resignations and retirements that included classroom instructors, coaches and food service staff, and employment offers for several new positions effective 2025-26 pending pre-employment requirements. New hires listed included school counselors for Cornwall Elementary and Cedar Crest Middle School, a short-term substitute kindergarten teacher and several instructional and classified substitutes for extended-school-year work.
The administration also requested authorization to hire additional personnel over the summer with ratification at the August 18, 2025 board meeting. Board members asked whether two counselor positions were backfills or new positions; administration responded one is a new position and one fills a vacancy. Officials said overall staffing levels are in good shape and further interviews were scheduled through the summer.
