Planning commission recommends quick-claim deed to clear 1971 title cloud from Peninsula General Hospital acquisition

Aaron Hughes, Land Management Officer, told the commission the resolution would permit the mayor to execute a quitclaim deed to resolve a title cloud dating to 1971, when the borough — through a prior existing entity — acquired the hospital property. Hughes said Peninsula General Hospital no longer exists and that Central Peninsula Hospital is the successor in interest currently under borough ownership. He summarized the action as conveying property “from, basically the borough to the borough and then correct[ing] title,” to clear the cloud.
