At the May 27 meeting, the Tredyffrin‑Easttown School District board accepted the retirement of Dr. Oscar Torres, its director of equity and public programs, and announced Dr. Kim Morris as his successor.
Board Vice President Sue Tidi noted Torres' long service to the district, which began at Conestoga High School where he served as a Spanish teacher before holding several administrative roles. The board thanked Torres for his years of service and extended best wishes. The board also congratulated Dr. Kim Morris, identified in the meeting as having served as an assistant principal at Tredyffrin‑East Middle School and as a supervisor of curriculum and staff development; she will assume the director of equity and public programs role.
Both items were taken as part of the consent agenda and recorded as approved in the May 27 consent vote. The board offered public thanks and recognition during the meeting; personnel records and board minutes will reflect the formal retirement and appointment.
