Truck dealer pitches service and mobile repairs to Washington County

Representatives from Burrows Company, a commercial truck dealer based in Laurel, discussed sales and service options for Washington County's road and solid-waste fleets.
"We have mobile techs ... guys that are on the road throughout the state calling on customers," said Andy Bynum, North Mississippi sales representative for Burrows. Bynum said the company provides full-line service, body and mechanical repair and commercial tires, and can deliver replacement vehicles or deploy technicians for on-site repairs. Emma Peacock, Burrows' South Mississippi sales representative and a former county garbage-division foreman, said the company's buyback programs and service approach can reduce lifetime maintenance costs.
County supervisors thanked the representatives and said procurement decisions would go through the county's equipment committee and the county administrator. No contract was awarded at the meeting.
