Pottsgrove students stage Fiddler in the Roof; student rep highlights prom, SATs and athletics

Pottsgrove High School’s theater company performed selections from Fiddler in the Roof at the March 12 school board meeting, and student representative Adam delivered a student report that listed upcoming events, fundraisers and athletic results.
Amy McMahan, the high school vocal director and producer, introduced the cast and directors and said the production runs March 20–22. "They're really, really excited," McMahan said. Board members who attended earlier dress rehearsals praised the students’ talent and encouraged the community to attend the performances.
Student representative Adam reported that prom tickets went on sale (priced at $85, which includes post‑prom activities), listed fundraising events such as a Doomdome tournament and Keep It Safe Prom sessions, and highlighted Reading Across America visits to elementary schools by high school athletes and cheerleaders. Adam also updated the board on athletics: the boys basketball team played in the PIAA state playoffs and several swimmers qualified for the PIAA state championships.
In other school news, Superintendent Dr. John Finney reminded parents that an IEP/504 informational panel will be held March 26 at the high school library for families of students with special education needs.
