Town of Braintree introduces new Economic Development Manager

Ryan Egan introduced himself to the Planning Board on March 11 after joining the mayor’s office as the Town of Braintree’s new Economic Development Manager. Egan said he most recently served as chief of staff in Marlborough, previously worked under mayors in other nearby cities, and is a town councilor in Randolph.
He described the role as the town’s first dedicated economic development position, explaining he will serve as a liaison to local businesses and developers, support existing businesses, and market Braintree to prospective new employers and investors. Egan said his office is located in the new Economic Development Suite near Human Resources; he said he will attend monthly meetings of the Planning Board and encouraged board members to bring him questions or project coordination needs.
