At its March 11 meeting Morgan City Council took the following formal actions (summary of motions and outcomes):
- Approved the March 11 agenda and approved minutes of the Feb. 25, 2025 council meeting with a correction to agenda item numbering; motion carried unanimously.
- Approved warrants for Feb. 21–March 6, 2025; motion carried unanimously.
- Adopted Resolution 25-04 accepting corrected quitclaim deeds from the Morgan County School District for property along Young Street, replacing a prior 2024 resolution; motion passed unanimously. (See separate article on deed acceptance.)
- Approved final acceptance for Pheasant Run subdivision phases 1 and 2, contingent on developer payment of $14,825 for detention-basin repairs and related fees; motion passed unanimously. (See separate article on Pheasant Run.)
- Adopted Resolution 25-05 supporting an application to the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation (CPR grant) to upgrade Riverside Park ballfield; motion passed unanimously. (See separate article on the Riverside grant.)
- Adopted Ordinance 25-02 amending the consolidated fee schedule to add a charge for an additional recycling cart and to create a standardized apartment sewer rate; ordinance adopted unanimously. The sewer rate is effective April 1, 2025; recycling collection and corresponding billing will begin after the city completes delivery of recycling carts (staff discussed a practical billing start near June 1).
- Moved into a closed session to discuss personnel matters related to character/professional competence/physical health of an individual and strategy regarding the sale of real property including water rights; motion to go into closed session carried unanimously.
Votes were recorded on the meeting record as “Aye” and the mayor declared unanimity on each recorded item.
