Council approves three property acquisitions for Skyline Drive using outside funding

Pleasant View City Council voted March 11 to approve three property acquisitions and associated perpetual slope easements needed to construct Skyline Drive. The council read the three property offers into the record and approved them collectively.
The acquisitions are listed in the staff presentation as: 515 West 4300 North for $21,000; 620 West 4300 North for $50,600; and 875 West 4300 North for $56,800. City staff told the council those funds are available from an outside funding source referenced in the staff report and are not city general-fund dollars.
The council approved all three acquisitions in a single motion; staff said the offers were accepted by the property owners on the terms presented.
Councilmembers indicated the acquisitions are part of the ongoing Skyline Drive right-of-way work and perpetual easement purchases that will enable future construction and slope stabilization work associated with the new road.
