The Sandy City Council voted to adopt Resolution 25-08C on March 11, approving certain amendments to the Metro Fire Agency interlocal agreement and authorizing the mayor to execute the amended agreement on the city’s behalf.
Fire Chief McConaughey presented the item and said the amendment removes provisions required by the Open and Public Meetings Act; he described the changes as limited and procedural, with no substantive operational changes.
Council members had no substantive questions. The council opened the item for public comment; nobody in the chamber spoke and no online participants raised hands. The council then moved to a roll-call vote. The clerk recorded affirmative votes from Council members DeKeyser, (listed in the record as) Mika, Stroud, Robinson, DeSousa and Sharkey. The measure passed 6–0.
No changes to budget amounts or service levels were discussed during the meeting. The resolution authorizes the mayor to execute the amended interlocal agreement on behalf of Sandy City.
