For vaping deterrence, Miss Tomlin was asked to lead a small group with Mr. Phelps and the board chair to develop recommendations.
Separately the board discussed a furniture bid for office furniture that was time-sensitive; the packet listed a vendor award under $50,000 (transcript references "40 something thousand dollars"). To avoid losing ordering time, the board moved and approved a motion authorizing the executive committee to review and approve the furniture procurement and execute the order pending review.
