Council approves site plan for Trinity High School replacement at Midway Park site

Maddie White, civil engineer with Westwood Professional Services, and Josh Miner, owner’s representative for HVISD, attended to answer council questions.
Council members raised safety and circulation concerns about the proposed driveway and sightlines at the new North Ector Drive approach near Trojan Trail, noting future visibility could be impaired by trees. Maddie White said driveway spacing and right-turn lane spacing were considered; she said the primary factor was ensuring sufficient right-turn lane spacing. Josh Miner and district staff said they conducted parking counts and coordinated site circulation to pull queuing off the streets where possible and to align the project with the nearby Midway elementary school work.
Council member Bynum moved to approve the site plan; Council member Price seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
