County begins mailing FY26 reassessment notices; officials outline appeal process as residents report large increases

Vision Government Solutions can be contacted for an informal review (call center number provided in the staff announcement). The county assessor’s office will conduct an internal review from April 1 to April 30, and the Board of Equalization appeal window runs May 1 to May 30, with a Board of Equalization hearing set for June 13, per staff.
During public comment, resident Justin Noblin described substantial overnight increases in assessed values reported by multiple residents and said he scheduled a Vision meeting to review his assessments. Jim Quest and others praised staff presentations and transparency but also urged the board to consider taxpayer impacts as the budget process proceeds.
Staff encouraged anyone with questions about accuracy—for example, incorrect room counts or land-use errors—to contact Vision Government Solutions (phone and online appointment options were provided) and outlined the multi-step appeal process for residents who wish to contest their assessments.
No board action on reassessments was taken that evening; staff posted the official notice and asked residents to use the established review and appeal process.
