The action was made during a remote meeting called to order at 3:02 p.m. The chair read statutory reasons for the executive session, citing collective-bargaining strategy and real-estate negotiations and said the session would be conducted under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30A, sections 21(a)(3), 21(a)(6) and 21(a)(7). The chair also referred to Chapter 30A, section 22(f) for approval of executive-session minutes from prior dates.
Leah, a member of the Lakeville Select Board, made the motion to enter executive session; Maureen, a member of the Lakeville Select Board, seconded the motion. The roll call recorded two affirmative responses: Candido (recorded as “I”) and Carbone (recorded as “I”). The board then moved into executive session and did not return to open session.

The chair also said the executive session would include consideration of approving past executive-session minutes dated 12/10/2021; June 3, 2022; June 13, 2022; July 5, 2022; August 15, 2022; November 1, 2022; January 9, 2023; January 20, 2023; and 04/21/2023.
The board did not place additional discussion points on the public record before entering executive session. No public votes on ordinances, budgets or appointments were taken in open session during the segment of the transcript provided.
