At its March session the Adams County Board of County Commissioners read a proclamation recognizing March as AmeriCorps Week in Adams County and adopted a resolution approving the 2025 Adams County Fair royalty.
Commissioner Mullica read the proclamation highlighting AmeriCorps’ national service in disaster response, education, and other community supports and cited Colorado figures for local AmeriCorps participation. The board encouraged residents to thank AmeriCorps members and alumni for their service.
Separately, the county adopted a resolution formally recognizing Sydney Romo Sonneman as the 2025 Adams County Fair Queen and Jordan Kellogg as the 2025 lady in waiting; the board approved the resolution by a 5‑0 vote. The new queen and lady in waiting spoke briefly, thanked the board and invited the community to fair events.
The board recessed to other business after the recognitions and moved on to the public‑comment portion of the meeting.
