Agall explained the Philadelphia City Planning Commission maintains a zoning technical committee with representatives from the Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Department of Licenses and Inspections, and the Law Department that meets quarterly to identify and track technical errors. He told the committee the bill does not make substantive policy changes to the zoning code but reflects committee recommendations to improve clarity and consistency.
The Planning Commission will consider the bill at its public meeting; there were no substantive questions from committee members during the hearing.
