Veres told the board the requested variance is a like‑for‑like restoration of the prior fence and that the HOA intends to attempt to reintroduce vine or other screening where feasible while observing wildfire‑clearance requirements. No public comment was offered. A board member moved to approve the variance, stating the board could make the necessary findings to allow restoration of the former fence height; the motion passed with all present voting aye.
The board’s approval restores the fence to the previously existing height, subject to any conditions staff may include addressing vegetation and WUI clearance in final permit language.
