The Uintah County Commission approved a contract to provide court security and bailiff services for the Eighth District Court for fiscal year 2025-26.
Sheriff Steve Laber presented the contract, saying the prior-year contract totaled $173,828.34 and an addendum earlier in the year had increased it by $30,000 to $203,828.34. The new contract runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, for $215,429.76. Laber said county counsel (Lauren Anderson) had reviewed the contract and that the document requires county and state signatures before it is finalized.
A commissioner moved to approve the security and bailiff contract and commissioners voted to approve it by voice.
