The county received three responses: Bighorn Archaeological Consultants ($7,668.50), Pinion Environmental ($9,179.80), and Tetra Tech ($31,326). Staff reported that the State Trust Lands Administration had worked with all three firms and considered each capable of doing the work.
Commissioners voted to award the RFQ to Bighorn Archaeological Consultants. Staff said the funds to pay the survey were originally contemplated to come from the flood-control fund but noted that fund's balance has been reduced; staff suggested using the previously discussed funding source unless the commission directs otherwise.
