Board approves agenda and consent items 5–0; consent package includes superintendent contract
Summary
The Battle Ground School Board voted 5–0 to approve the meeting agenda and later approved the consent agenda containing minutes, personnel reports, student travel, a superintendent contract for 2025–28, WIAA membership renewal and other routine items.
At the June 9 meeting the Battle Ground School Board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and later approved the consent agenda in separate votes.
The board voted 5–0 to approve the agenda as presented earlier in the meeting. Later the board moved and passed the consent agenda by a 5–0 vote. The consent agenda was presented as items A through H and, as described on the meeting agenda, included: approval of minutes from May 27 (regular and special meetings); personnel reports; student travel; approval of a superintendent’s contract for the 2025–2028 contract years (listed on the consent spreadsheet); Resolution E25 WIAA membership renewal; and contract approvals for ESD112 services for 2025–26. Board members recorded as present at the roll call and therefore the voting members were Mary Smitley, Jackie Maddox, Debbie Johnson, Ted Champine and Terry Tate.
No separate roll-call vote-by-name was recorded on the consent motion in the transcript; the meeting minutes show the motion passed 5 to 0.
