The Lake County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a list of roadway and bridge projects to be funded with SB 1 (the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017), authorizing a short-term pavement rehabilitation and infrastructure plan that prioritizes arterial roads, low Pavement Condition Index (PCI) streets within communities and several short-span bridges.
Public Works Director Glenn March presented the list and said the projects fall into three categories: arterial roads in poor condition, roads in communities with the lowest PCI scores and short-span bridges whose decks have failed and are temporarily spanned by temporary structures. “Today, what you're considering is the list of projects for to utilize s b 1 funding,” March told the board.
