For classified staff, letters and RIF notices were shared the prior week and staff begin assigning displaced classified employees to open positions the following day; staff reported roughly 15 classified openings.
HR staff said the district continues negotiations with the certificated bargaining unit (PSC) on a three-year renewal and that tentative agreements on working-condition language are being reached. The principals association contract review (a three-year review) is also underway.
Board members asked for updates on timelines; HR said filling positions takes time because employees have contractual decision windows. No formal board action on staffing was taken during the meeting.
