Board members discussed community events tied to the designation. County staff said a series of lunchtime educational programs will be offered in June and public events such as “Pride in the Pines” are planned. Supervisor comments emphasized inclusion and the county’s intent to continue outreach and services to diverse populations.
The board took the proclamation under a standard consent of the whole after the reading and brief comments, then paused for a group photo with Pride organizers.
