The Town of Lakeville Master Plan Implementation Committee agreed to change its regular meeting nights to Mondays starting in July 2025 and scheduled a meeting for 6 p.m. on June 17 at the Lakeville Police Department to meet with the Planning Board before the June 9 town meeting if the Planning Board representative is available.
Committee members said the change was prompted by other boards moving meeting nights and room availability. The committee settled on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. for future meetings beginning in July and chose June 17 at 6 p.m. as a tentative meeting date to meet with the Planning Board in advance of town meeting. The committee asked Rita Govett to email a Planning Board contact (Michelle) to determine availability; if Michelle could not attend in June, the committee agreed to schedule an option in July (July 21 or July 28 were discussed) and to coordinate LakeCam coverage with Jose.
Members also discussed meeting-room logistics and calendars. Committee members said Kristen at the police department maintains the room calendar and that there is a town calendar online; they asked staff to check the police calendar to confirm continued access to the Lakeville Police Department meeting room. One member recommended checking the police department’s internal calendar and ensuring LakeCam could record sessions at any new venue.
The committee emphasized maintaining a start time of 6 p.m. for efficiency and ease of attendance. The committee did not take a formal vote but reached consensus on the schedule and assigned follow-up tasks to staff.
