The presenter said the units are intended to be sold when complete so the properties would be placed on the tax rolls once occupancy and permits are issued, not held long-term by a nonprofit.
Details remain preliminary. Board members asked about unit sizes and finishes; staff said those specifics will be available after the architect completes designs. One staff speaker estimated construction costs are likely to exceed $200,000 per unit, but said exact capital outlay would be known only after bids are obtained.
A motion to extend the option for six months with a $500 fee (as stated on the record during the motion) carried by voice vote.
