Micah Snyder said the proposed edits were intended to align planning commission procedures with recently adopted City Council Resolution No. 3736 and include possible updates to meeting time and agenda structure. Snyder told commissioners the materials had been emailed and asked commissioners to provide suggested edits before the final packet is published at least 14 days before the vote.
At the end of the meeting, a staff member (Greg) noted that Chairman John Kane’s term had expired and that Kane is term-limited; staff said the appointment process to fill the vacancy has begun and that a new chair will be elected after an appointment is made.
No formal action was taken on the rules at the meeting; staff will return with final revised rules for commission consideration and a formal vote.
