Trevor, a district staff member who presented results of a community survey, told trustees the district received 3,729 responses: 2,316 parents, 798 students and 615 staff. He said "March won out with 2,163 votes, and April had 1,566," but that the student response favored March by 77% while staff slightly favored April (54% to 46%). Despite the survey outcome, the board moved the break to April after members raised other considerations.
