The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners approved a mass-gathering permit application from Katie Vincent for the Wildwood Music Festival, proposed for June 2025. The applicant described the event as a smaller-scale restart of a previously recurring festival and estimated attendance at 350 to 500 people, with tickets sold in advance to help enforce the cap.
Katie Vincent said she recently purchased neighboring property that can provide an additional emergency access route to Indian Creek Road. She also described safety measures she is arranging: an on-site 1,500-gallon firefighting vehicle provided by a friend, a 10,000-gallon pool on the property as a water reserve, and portable restrooms with handwashing stations (the applicant said she plans one double-sink handwashing station per group of porta-potties, and staff suggested adding more handwashing stations across the site). County officials urged the applicant to coordinate with Sheriff Elliott, Chief Wharton and the Oregon Department of Forestry and indicated those agencies had already been notified by staff.
The board closed the public hearing with no opposition recorded and approved the permit, including a reduction of the fee to $250 for publication costs, as has been done for similar events. County staff will include any additional requirements from public safety agencies in the formal permit and return a final order to the board within weeks.
