Saline County commissioners approve fleet purchases, alcohol-fund allocations and board appointments; several items tabled

The Saline County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 21 approved a series of budgeted vehicle purchases for county departments, a pro rata distribution of the county's alcohol-tax allocation to local programs, and a slate of recommended board appointments. The board approved the consent agenda and voted to table two agenda items pending the appearance of district representatives.

The votes included purchases recommended by county staff for Community Corrections and Road & Bridge, including a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for Community Corrections and multiple Road & Bridge chassis and service trucks. The board also approved the county administrator's recommendation to distribute state-derived alcohol funds pro rata among applicants and confirmed a list of county board appointments. Commissioners voted to table agenda items 6 and 7 until a future meeting when district representatives are present.
