Court holds first reading for zoning map amendment for proposed Oldham County family entertainment center; public hearing set Feb. 18

Oldham County Fiscal Court conducted the first reading Feb. 4 of an ordinance (KLC 2592081) proposing a zoning map amendment for parcels along North Highway 393 to permit a family entertainment center.
Ryan Fisher presented the item and said the proposal would rezone properties listed (noted in the record as 1155 and 1175 North Highway 393) from I-2 (Industrial District) to C-3 (Commercial District). Fisher told the court the planning commission recommended approval at its Dec. 10 meeting and that county staff noticed typographical corrections in the draft ordinance; those minor changes will be corrected before the second reading.
Fisher said the ordinance is on first reading and that the second reading and public hearing are scheduled for Feb. 18. No final action (adoption) occurred at the Feb. 4 meeting; the item remains pending the public hearing and second reading.
The court asked staff to post the public hearing on the county website and encouraged residents to review the proposal online before Feb. 18.
