Board action: The motion to accept the donations was moved by Jeff Hegley and seconded by Melissa Curtis. "All those in favor say aye," the chair said; the motion passed 6–0.
Program impact and use: Presenters said the $500 will be used for robot parts and regional-tournament costs for the Monty Python robotics team. The $5,000 gift was described as intended for equipment purchases for career and technical education at Monticello High School. Staff said both gifts represent community support that supplements program budgets.
The board did not vote on any additional spending authorizations; acceptance of the gifts was ceremonial and routine authorization to receive the funds into district accounts.
