Commissioners voted 13–0 to forward the $1,232,863 maintenance agreement. The item includes the Workday annual maintenance fee (approximately $1.099 million) plus charges related to the human-resources user-count true-up.
Macomb County’s Chief Information Officer, Jayco (last name not provided), told commissioners the true-up reflects a net increase of about 302 user logins over the prior year, bringing the county’s Workday user count to 2,943. He said maintenance is prepaid on an annual schedule and the vendor reconciles user counts at the end of the billing period.
Commissioners asked whether the cost is funded from a separate IT fund; Jayco confirmed the expense is paid from the county’s annual repairs and maintenance budget line for software maintenance. He said staff are working toward aligning maintenance cycles to the calendar year where vendor policies allow.
The committee approved forwarding the item to the full board for final action.
