The Waukesha City Ordinance and Licensing Committee approved multiple licensing items at its March 10 meeting, recording unanimous votes on a second-hand dealer application, an extension of premises for a bowling alley, and several license renewals.
The committee approved the second-hand dealer application for 1 Stop Wonders; no one representing the applicant appeared at the meeting. A motion to approve was made and seconded on the record and the chair announced unanimous approval.
The committee also approved a request from Foxview Lanes for an extension of its premise license for the sale of beer and/or liquor to cover a series of Saturday car-show events and associated rain dates. Committee discussion confirmed the extension sought different dates than a prior approval; a staff member noted the setup would be identical. Alderperson Manion moved to approve the application; Alderperson Wigderson seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Finally, the committee considered a group of license renewals and sidewalk cafe permits and approved them en bloc. The list explicitly named Taco Jalisco (Class B beer license), The Tapyard Waukesha (Class B beer license), Toffty's Table (Class B beer and Class B liquor licenses and sidewalk cafe permit), Dave's Restaurant (Class B beer and Class B liquor licenses and sidewalk cafe permit), Rochester Deli (sidewalk cafe permit), and Steaming Cup (sidewalk cafe permit). The chair read the list into the record; Alderperson Helvinsleben moved approval and Alderperson Wigderson seconded. The committee recorded unanimous approval for all listed renewals.
A motion also approved the invited-application sidewalk cafe for Joey's Diner; that item was discussed separately because the applicant was present and described security arrangements and decorative features. All licensing motions at the meeting were announced as passing unanimously.
Most items brought to the committee were routine renewals or date-specific extensions and will proceed to the City Council for final administrative processing where required.
Votes listed in the committee record were unanimous for the items described; specific council-level final approvals were indicated as the next step for certain permits.
