District 6 highlights students and teams advancing to state competitions

Greeley Evans School District 6 recognized students and teams from multiple schools for placements and qualifications at state and national competitions.
Assistant Superintendent Anthony Osmus introduced awards for winter sports, choir and band state qualifiers, FBLA/DECA qualifiers, TSA technology problem-solving winners, health sciences, and JROTC marksmanship results. Presenters from Greeley West, Greeley Central, Northridge and other schools described achievements including All-State Orchestra acceptance, multiple FBLA and DECA state qualifiers, a TSA team earning first place at state and advancing to nationals, and Northridge JROTC finishing fourth among Marine Corps JROTC teams nationally.
Coaches and students noted specific results: Greeley West had 13 students qualify for state FBLA; a Greeley West orchestra student was accepted to All-State Orchestra out of 592 auditioning students; Greeley Central reported state placers in wrestling and Health Occupation Students of America qualified six students for nationals and swept nursing assistant placements 1–3 in the state; Northridge ProStart culinary placed third at state; TSA won first at state in technology problem solving.
Board members and administrators congratulated students and coaches. The recognitions were followed by a schedule reminder of upcoming high school musicals and athletic playoffs.
